G37 back seat safety issue ?
G37 back seat safety issue ?
I've had the G for over 2 months now and never used the back seats. Last night, i sat in the back to try it out cuz some friends are visiting soon. My head actually touch the back window. I tried to sit lower to clear the window but i am afraid if the car goes over a bump or something, the passenger's head will hit and could break the back window.
I dont care about the comfort level in the back seat at all, cuz i wont sit there
and the person siting in the back certainly didnt pay for the car
..so i dont care !!!
BUT...isnt this a saftey issue if the back window is right above the head ???? i tried the Audi S5 and many other coupes with small(er) back seats but they all seem to have head-rests that were positioned so that if the passenger's head moved up, it would hit the roof and not the window like on the G ??? Why doesnt the G have head-rests in the back anyways although i am not sure it would have helped cuz of where the back window starts ???
BTW, i did sit in the back-seats before buying the G....knowing this problem but i had to get it anyway
cuz i didnt expect much use of the back. I am just wondering if anyone has though of a creative way to work around it. Thanks.

You could go to a plastic surgeon and have him remove areas of your body that wont kill you immediately, which would give you a couple of extra feet. Then you should fit fine, but you will look like this guy...

yea i noticed this to.. and i get like grease from peoples head sitting back there. pretty lame. Need to start carrying a rag since whenever i look in my rear view i notice this and it drives me CRAZY
Yeah it's really tiny back there. You have to slouch down a bit so your head doesn't touch as much. I noticed that in several reviews of the car, this issue was brought up. It's a little annoying, but I sat in the back of my friend's 335i and my head touched there too (although it was a LITTLE better than the back seat of our cars).
That's what you get for buying a coupe. I don't care since I don't plan on using this car to haul 4 people everywhere I go.
