It should just be plug-n-play once it's mounted with some velcro or double sided tape. Anybody want to be the guinea pig?

To have lots of light in the trunk. 
On the license plate you would blind anyone behind you within a mile. Also if it projects any light to the rear that isn't amber or red, it's illegal. In the trunk, you can see what you are doing.
