I have been on a business trip the last few days.

According to UPS, the bolts should arrive today, so I will test them Monday when I get back and post.

i would imagine a longer bolt with a butterfly nut on the end...the object is to keep the bolt behind like a cross brace, so it grabs the plastic mesh...

Here's some pics of what I've got.

I took the 150mm stud from www.mcmaster.com and cut one end of it off, then used a 1" standard coupling from Home Depot.
I don't own a cut saw, and a sawsall doesn't get it straight enough, so I had the local muffler shop cut it - they did it for free.

Threaded piece (the cut stud) goes into tow hook, coupling attaches to that, Stillen plate bracket attaches to that...done...

The stud I'm talking about is here: http://www.mcmaster.com/
Go to "Threaded studs" under the "Fastening and Sealing" section, then click on "Threaded Rods and Studs", then click on "Equal Thread Length Rods and Studs", then Click "Standard" and select "Metric Thread Size = "M24" and pitch = 3mm.
(Unfortunately their site won't let me link right to it)

Although I may look for a shorter length coupling because I'd like to get it a little closer to the bumper.

For those we are curious, I got this reply from Stillen:

Unfortunately, we do not have a bracket specifically designed for the G37.

You can use the template online at www.stillen.com to see which kit will work best for your G37.

How short do you think the coupling should be to get it closer to the bumper?

I was using a 64mm coupling, and that is obviously too long.

Looking everywhere on the intertubes I can - there's nothing out there shorter. 64mm is standard length.

I'm considering having a shop just weld on the extra threading instead of using a coupling.
