I was looking around yesterday. I'm sure there's a place you can find for small orders, but 24mm thread seems to be the bigger problem.

Ok - so I figured some thing out.

24mm = 0.9449 inches.

Using a 1" coupling, I am able to screw the 24mm rod into it without issue and it is just barely loose. It does hwoever hold. Some threadlocker would make sure it holds permanantly.

The problem however is then using 1" threaded rods to screw into the 24mm tow hook, which is slightly (.0551", 1.3995mm) smaller than the 1" rod you would be trying to screw in.

So using a 1" coupling does work, using a 1" rod out of that coupling into the tow hook does not.

After calling around today to every specialty store locally, no one had anything close to 24mm. metric just isn't used much.

So I found a place online that sells 1m 24mmx3.0 rods. I'm going to have to cut it to length, but it hsould work.

I ordered it and will get back to everyone with the results.

Did anyone get a hold of Stillen to get an ETA for the new G37 license plate bracket?

Looks like I forgot to account for the fact that I suck at math.

Sure, the 24mm rod will fit in a 1" coupling...but a 1" rod will not fit in a 24mm coupling...meaning I have no stud/bolt in order to extend the plate with that will screw into the tow hook location.

I spent 3 days calling shops and looking around the internet for a simple M24x3.0 Standoff....then I gave up and looked for a Threaded Rod....then I gave up and looked for a long bolt I can cut the top off of....

no luck...every place carrying anything that size has very large minimum orders or they don't cary it at all. The local "custom" screw shops such as Fastenal and Tacoma Screw were no help.
I quit...maybe someone else will have more luck than me.

If you have a sport model this solution will work. Use the OEM bracket and mount it inside of the lower air dam using a couple of screws through the holes and bolt behind. The bottom of the plate is still above the lowest portion of nose. I am working on another more custom solution and will post if it works out.

It looks like the plate then rubs against the lower bumper, no?

Also, if you have the Adaptive CC, then I would think that gets in the way.

so today was pulled over for specifically not having a front plate haha which is sorta like they are out to get you, anyways the guy saw my license plate on the floor on the passenger side, and said what's the deal, so i told him i dunno how to mount it on figuring he'd give me a warning and leave me be, well.....long story short, he + me + his flashlight and box of tools in his trunk, spent 30mins trying to put the bracket on, and me the whole time trying not to laugh and to not tell him u need to drill two holes, in the end, he goes 'take it to the dealer and put it on they should know, im giving u a warning for now'

haha still in need of an aftermarket license plate bracket! let's hope stillen took into account of our requests

I finally found a place I can buy a M24x3 150mm stud.

Hopefully it will be here this week. That should do it. I will take pics once I have it in place.
