Unhappy 2009 G37 Carplay

Hi - I have been looking at carplay adapters - Has anyone had any luck with using them on the non bose g37 stereo? It does not have bluetooth capability...... I have tried the over the air stereo version but it sounds terrible. I was thinking maybe one of the new carplay units could be plugged in and possibly show my iphone on the Infinity screen (or override it). Any suggestions?

I just removed an aftermarket android from a car I bought from Korea, (circa 2012) it was ludicrously spliced into the main harness in about 12 places, eventually I found the OEM Infiniti screen hidden about the glovebox with the splice harness (returning it to OEM as the backup cameras didn't work) this is a much nicer kit, the complexity of splicing into the factory harness to retain the OEM functions is very complex, nice to see such a well designed kit to do it properly.

Nifty City seems to be the goto for many: https://www.niftycity.shop/products/...-2013-standard

Not the cheapest, but I've heard that they offer pretty good support.
