Help 2009 coupe heated seats always on
2009 coupe heated seats always on
So I just recently swapped to better conditioned seats (not sure what year the donor seats are from) they hooked up perfectly, same wiring.
I have the 2 dial switches with only the heated option and they still indicate with a light whether they are turned on or off.
The heated seat function always stays on now and not too sure if I need to get the switches instead of dials.
Another issue is that the driver seat bottom heats up, but not the back,
while the passenger seat back heats up, but not the bottom.

This is a very important detail... you probably should have done more homework. If the donor seats are from a 2008 (ie. the rocker switch for the heater) then they are not compatible with your 2009 that has the dial switches.
Just because they "hooked up perfectly" does not automatically assume 100% "plug-and-play." Obviously there is a wiring issue as the seat heaters are not working as intended.
Find out the year of the donor car, if possible, then go from there.

I was able to pick them up from the marketplace for a good deal in good condition,
the seller is unsure of what year the seats came from, so I’ll probably have to find a part number on them.
For my understanding, the wiring should be the same for installation up to 2013,
but if you have any other insight, that would be helpful.
I am under the impression that I should just have to swap out the dial switches for the correct year to match the seats.
There were a couple forums I read up on this, but still looking for a more straightforward answer
Here's the FSM for your '09 coupe seats:

If you happened to have gotten '08 seats then you can see the difference here:

Basically in '08 and earlier the heaters were simply controlled by relays but in '09 they added the dial control and a "Control Unit" with temp sensors.

I do not forget seeing a thread like this awhiiiiiiiillle in the past, but my seek has yielded handiest the ones complaining they don't get warm...With over one hundred degree temps and file humidity degrees in New Orleans right now i dread getting inside the automobile for my 1 hour trip each manner...Motive force's facet heated seat is caught ON...Does every person recognise if there's a fuse i'm able to yank to reduce them off with out effecting anything else, i may not have a hazard to get to the dealership until next week.
