Hey all. Saw some previous posts about Nifty City’s apple car play module. we have a 2008 G37
Our mechanic is working to get it installed and the touch screen is not working. Did anyone else have any issues with install on the early year cars? Also, their so called customer service and technical support is terrible… consists of “just read the manual”.
any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If the touch part isnt working on Apple car play I dont think it will. Looking at videos they are only using the navigation dial. Im just guessing since I dont have one yet. If there is not pics the harness maybe reversed or they included a different model harness.
So in the little bit of "technical support" they've given, the model we have does not use the factory buttons. at least that's how we are understanding it. apparently there's a newer model that uses the factory dials. as of now they are saying we would have to send it back to Australia to have the screen "recalibrated" and then they would send it back. not sure how it gets "uncalibrated" if it's never been installed before. They are just extremely unhelpful, won't do an exchange or refund and claim they don't have phones to do a phone call, even though all of their IG posts say "great customer service and technical support"
Not much help, but...
Open a dispute with your credit card company and have them haggle with the seller.
Also, be sure to "blow up" their "Instagram" and call out their phony reviews/ claims...

it's so funny you say that. so our mechanic that was doing the install (which btw, he had to go back at 9:00 at night bc of the time difference) made some social media posts about them being unhelpful and they did not like that. and then contacted my husband to say they would no longer talk to "the professional we hired" bc he was being rude.
depending on if we decide to try to have someone else install or send back we will dispute the charges. i hate being like that but when a company raves about their customer service and then is rude or just says "read the instruction manual" that's not customer service.
also this is for an '08 G37 so if anyone has this year model and apple car play...
