Radio On - No sound at all? Help Please

I have a 2012 Infiniti G37s hardtop convertible and the audio system appears to work but produces no sound at all. Initially, it would crackle while playing music but now nothing. It also would intermittently work but now no sound for more than a week.
Is it most likely the Bose amp? If so, where is the Bose amp located? Is it in the left side of the trunk area like other G37s or somewhere else?
Or, is it a loose connection and if so, where should I look to find it?

Thanks for any and all help you can offer.
John

Is the result any different with the roof up or down?
If not, you might have better luck posting this in the general audio section as the audio is mostly the same between these cars (minus the roof up/down switch).

Oddly enough, you're not the first 'vert owner who has had Bose amp failures... Depending on your skill set, the most you could do is check for power/ ground at the amplifier. I would also check all of the wiring harnesses in the trunk area- with all those moving parts for the roof operation, it wouldn't take much for a wire to get pinched/ frayed/ damaged.

But first, simple item first: did you check the fuses for the Bose amp? (I think there are two separate fuses).

Now, if you haven't already, I would suggest you download the AV (Audio/Visual) section of the factory service manual for your car from here. From there you can read up on how to perform the self-diagnostic functions to check the Bose amp connection and also run the speaker test. The diagnostic will also list any AV-specific error codes that are detected, if any.

JUST PRESS THE BACK BUTTON TO EXIT THE SELF-DIAGNOSTIC. DO NOT SELECT THE RESET/INITILIZATION OPTION!

The above will get you started.
