Exclamation Won't play audio from iPhone

Hello Everyone!
I have a 2010 G37x coupe. It will
NOT connect to my IPhone X or play the music. I even tried the USB port, shows the song but will not play and the music box won’t play.
Any suggestions on why or what I could do?
Thank you,

The interface has always been clunky but I suppose 10 years in computer time is like eons. Is your phone connecting to the car through Bluetooth? As in, can you make and receive calls? I believe streaming music via Bluetooth was only available in cars with NAV, for some unknown reason, and I'm not sure which year that became an option.

Your USB connection should work. The first time you plug it in the phone will ask you to confirm that it should "trust" the connection. And you may need to open and start your music player playing before plugging in the cable. You may also need to unplug and replug the cable. Eventually it should pass audio that way and the steering wheel skip buttons should work. But the onscreen display is unreliable...

How I got my music to play was to upload 1 song to my iPhone so when I connect it via USB, it wont say "Music not found" or whatever. If you have 1 song, it will load that 1 song, thus allowing you to play YouTube, soundcloud, etc.

That's the only when I could make it work. If I do it via bluetooth, it would skip and I hated that.
