Help Homelink/Overhead Door/2012 G37
Homelink/Overhead Door/2012 G37
Hi All,
I did search but seems I have an odd situation and hoping someone may be able to direct me.
I recently purchased a 2012 G37, and have gone through several instructional videos, guides, and still having trouble with pairing my opening with Homelink.
Everything I have read and tried is first cleared old codes from Homelink, tried to pair the remote with Homelink, then if you have a rolling code opener (which I do), you will need to pair the opener with the Homelink.
Problem is I can clear the old codes just fine, but I can never get from the slow blink to the fast blink when pairing. I got frustrated and went to see a buddy who works at Lexus as a tech specialist, and he tried as well, to no avail. He was able to program another remote to the Homelink, and we tested it all out and it worked fine. We also tried my remote on another car and it worked fine as well.
Before I spend hours on the phone with Homelink, just seeing if anyone has had any luck trying other solutions.
Thanks for the help!

I called Homelink and sat on the phone for a while. We tested every possible solution, even checking which freq my remote is using down to the serial of the remote.
Finally after some time the representative said they had exhausted all efforts and I would need to "try" a bridge kit.
It all makes sense now, as I do have a MyQ kit installed, (which I unplugged during this test) which I use for opening my garage from my phone.
I looked at that as I was plugging it back in last night and its actually made BY Chamberlain. So ordered a bridge kit to see if this resolves it.

Hey, you don't actually need a bridge. I got a new opener with the same system... I bought the newer mirror off of a Q50 and put it in my car, problem solved. Direct fit, same plugs and everything!

I tried the steps in the link and nothing changed.
I am beginning to wonder if this Homelink system is faulty. I went ahead and ordered the bridge the other day to see what happens. Guess I will give that a shot when it arrives in the coming days.If it doesn't work, its easy to return, but figured 25.00 was cheaper than paying labor at a dealership.

The bridge was only $25.00 so guess its worth the test and not having to drive somewhere for now, and I can avoid perhaps the next store closing
