my new g37x

Hey everyone, i finally got my brand new g37x '12 (btw the house is not mine)

i had a question about the navigation, my car didnt come with the nav feature but it still has the full screen console, i want to know if there is anyway to install a module that would get me navigation in my car

Congrats on the car, it's gorgeous.

As far as the nav, I would have to say, no one has done it with reasonable time and expense (at least not that I am aware).

This is a good one to search as there are a lot of threads on it.

That being said from what I recall from driving a non nav car at times, they don't have all the buttons and the screen is different. I also recall people stating you have to replace the whole unit. Search it though as I could be wrong.

Nice car, congrats.

As far as the Sat NAv goes, there is no module. If you want to go factory you need a new screen, head-unit, buttons, brackets, antenna etc all totaling over $4000.
There are a few aftermarket solutions, this is just one:

Installed the garmin GVN 53--pics!! - G35Driver

If you search Garmin GVN you will find a lot of info.

There's actually the Directus Prodigy One kit, which turns our existing screen into a touch screen. What's great about it is that we still maintain the original screen's total functionality unlike some of the other solutions I've seen. I'm having a hard time sourcing the parts on the aftermarket but my dealer's shop is quoting me $1,600 for the parts and install.

So this is like a car-puter? do we need to install that touch over-lay or use our existing ones?

I wish I could answer that. The following video should answer your questions (just be sure to mute your speakers since the music is horrible!):
