Smile Audio question

I recently bought a 2011 g37 journey that doesn't have the nav package. I originally got a bluetooth adapter that plugs into the usb port in the center console but apparently the car does not read USB for audio files and when I push the AUX button the only channels it goes to are AM/FM radio and XFM. I was wondering if there was an issue with my specific car as to why it wouldn't read bluetooth for audio files and if not, is there anything I can use instead of an FM transmitter?

Thank you

more than likely the oem software for the vehicle usb port is not compatible with the bluetooth adapter and is not meant to be used in that fashion on the vehicle audio sys.

get something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bluetooth-4...f9ZQ:rk:3:pf:0

Then get a 30-pin iphone cable that breaks out to 1/8 audio plug and USB. USB into power and 1/8 into the aux port.

If you don't h ave an aux port, I think you can still find the XM radio / aux input kits.
