audio issues 2009 g37x
after checking fuse, and replacing power amp, I still have no audio, I learned about the hidden diagnostic page, when I checked error code history, it came up as "high frequency driver connection error". I don't want to assume(like I did with the power amp)that its as simple as a loose connection, any suggestions?

I checked the audio fuse, then I made the assumption about the amp, fortunately I only spent $42, so now I have a spare! I then learned about the self diagnostic menu, and I went through all the menus, and everything checked out okay, the error code history showed the hf driver connection error. I also ran the speaker test algorithm and I don’t hear any tones, or anything?
I don’t know which side it’s on, and I don’t want to damage the door trim, are there any videos showing how to remove the door panels? Or is there a wiring harnesses under the dash with a connector I might be able to check first, etc?

I did a quick check of the AV section of the FSM (2008 and 2014) but I could not find any reference to a "High Frequency Driver Connection Error." Check over the FSM (AV Section) for your car and get a better idea how to run the diagnostics protocols. Then, rerun the diagnostics and check for:
a) Component Connections- green, yellow or red?;
b) CAN Communication Status- TX/RX, OK/COUNT
c) AV Communication Status- TX/RX, OK/COUNT
d) Any NUMERIC Error Codes?
Most of the above will determine the state of the AV system and, specifically, the AV Master Controller (headunit). If there is absolutely no sound at all during the Speaker Test then likely the problem is either the headunit or the wiring to the Bose amp (or to the speakers if you do not have the Bose system).
It will be almost impossible to accurately diagnose your problem but will help in any way we can. Hopefully the above will give you a good start. By the way, what "amp" did you replace for $42?

Assuming you verified the Bose Amp is getting power than likely the amp is not receiving the sound signals from the headinit.

Man this forum is awesom! I really appreciate all of your responses! I will dig into all this info, and hopefully get it figured out in the next couple of days! I will keep you all posted! One side note, I did have the opportunity to appreciate the sound of a nice G35 I rolled up behind today on the interstate, which had a nice custom exhaust system!! One benifit of no audio!! Lol
