my cruise control is acting up I put it on cruise and it does set and everything but it won't maintain speed can anyone help me out ?

Sorry , I mean the speed won't stay at what I set it at like if I was going 70 and I hit set it would just start to slow down .

 

Are you saying if you let off the gas and set cruise control your car would coast to a stop if you let it?

 

Can't say I'm surprised by this. The cruise control in general is junk. I've read so many complaints between 2005 when I got my G coupe and now with my Q coupe in 2017. I've never owned a car that was so unable to maintain its speed with cc active. My coupe will drop 7-8 mph before the cruise kicks the throttle open. Terrible, and the car only has 12k miles so it's not an age-related thing.

 

Since I bought my used G37S coupe /35,500m 2008 about a year ago I had a couple of instances when the cruise would not set after I put the cruise on. I got ready to go "Dealer" and double checked the cruise and wha la it worked fine. Any chance you were following to closely when you put it on? Try it some more.
