I just recently bought a 2011 Infiniti G37S Sedan 6MT. I was looking for some information on the Bose 'Studio on Wheels' system and cannot find specs on the system anywhere. I wanted to know how many watts the system is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
If you have an Android phone and nav in the g37 (which I think is needed for Bose anyway) I implore you to root your phone and install viper4audio. You do need to know how to root and what files to look for for your specific phone but by golly does it make the Bose system actually sound good.
The amp in our cars is just pure trash, or at least the DSP is inside the amp.
Also, you can't really replace the amp either, you can only sidestep it with another amp. Changing the speakers without a new amp is also useless as it won't improve sound quality much if at all.
Also, this method only helps if you use Bluetooth streaming to play music. The radio sounds like garbage, the USB input is decent, Sirius is the best sound quality stock. CDs and the hard drive sound decent as well.
Sorry, you can see I have a bit of hatred for this system. As they say "No highs! No lows! Must be Bose!"

I have an iPhone. But I have considered adding an external 12" Subwoofer into the trunk in the future. That should help a little in the bass. I've owned a few other Infiniti's and have not been dissappointed in their Bose sytems. I'm absolutely not disappointed in this car. Just needs a little more from the stereo. But other than that, it's one hell of a sport sedan.

I use Poweramp app to play music on my android, Its like $4 and it makes the sound much better than just AUX or straight bluetooth. Just need to set it to loud surround mode.
So they talk about the Bose system in the G35 and guess the power on the G37 based on fuses used in that thread. Does anyone know for sure what it would be on a newer G37 sedan?
Not that it matters much as according to a sound engineer I met from Bose once they tend to rate their systems differently. Especially when they start using waveguide technology in some of their subwoofers. I forget the equation, but the output on their subwoofers was equivalent to a standard sub with much more power than the Bose one actually had.
OP, I have the coupe, but found that a 10" sub in a box with 300-500 watts really complements the system.
Sorry I do not have specs for the Bose for you---it would be interesting information to see.
Haha! But no, he was an actual sound engineer so he was about as far removed from sales and marketing as possible. I get pretty deep into tech, but he was even putting me to sleep. Another comparison was when I went to a demonstration for the Bose wave radio when it first came out. They had it under a cover and it looked like a stereo with big tower speakers. They played it and it sounded fantastic. Then they pulled off the cover and everyone's jaws dropped as they saw how small the stereo was. They could squeeze much more sound out of a compact stereo by compressing the sound tubes. Kind of like the tiny subwoofer in the back of a new Nissan Pathfinder, old RX-7, or any car with waveguide tech.
I think this Bose system is really quite good in this car. I thought I read that it had 10" woofers in the front doors. I was listening to a Beatles song the other day and heard better separation of the instruments than I have ever heard on another stereo.
I realize you could always add more subs to get more bass that is not really there in the song, but I always liked Bose for the fact that they tried to produce some of the clearest and most natural sounds in music. I am comparing to my car aftermarket favorite- Polk as well as factory systems from Bang and Olufsen, Harmon Kardon, Lexicon, DynAudio, JBL, Rockford Fosgate, Infinity, Fender, Sony, etc.
