09 Sedan w NAV USB Question

Sorry for the double post, I chose wrong forum page.Hey guys, I have searched through threads and googled for information and Im striking out. I have an 09 sedan w nav and the ipod connector in the center console. I want to install a USB adapter that will work with steering wheel controls. GROM says theirs wont work since I have NAV. Is there anything I can do, any companies that you know of? Thanks!

If you are open to using Bluetooth instead of USB, this thread is worth reading. I have this exact setup in my '09 sedan and it works like a charm. Steering wheel controls work and song info are shown on the screen. Bluetooth is wonderful since you don't have to mess with wires. I'm using an iPhone 6 btw.

Yes, I think any iOS device will work. I'm not 100% sure about Android phones but you can try contacting the manufacturer (Bovee)

what type of iPod connector do you have? Is it USB?
If so - GROM Wirelinq might work for you!
Wirelinq Smart Android MicroUSB Car Converter Cable

In addition as your stereo have navigation, you might be interested in GROM VLine:

that is coming soon.

Thank you!

I called GROM and they said since I have NAV that the USB adapter wouldnt work. I have the oem 30 pin connector with cable for ipod connection. I keep my music on USB so I was hoping for an adapter that would work and still let me use steering wheel controls. Does the upcoming VLINE have a USB? Thanks

My Samsung Note 3 works over Bluetooth, with steering wheel controls (just no album art on the display.)

as a bonus if your phone is rooted, you can run the Viper4Android audio enhancer app to make the crappy Bose system sound much better.

I received my wirelinq but it doesn't work at all. 2013 G37 non nav. Firmware is ver 2.24 which was provided by a grom representative. The car does not read the cable at all. LG G4 Android ver 6.0 DashlinQ installed.

We are checking for possible incompatibilities with your phone. In general there should not be any issues with 2013 G37, we tested on 2010 G37 and QX70 2015. The best is to keep working with GROM tech support.

Please pm me your ticket number so we will check for more information. Also did the Wirelinq show that it is charging your phone?

Thank you.

Sent pm, the phone doesn't charge. It does charge on a 2015 BMW 328i but that car won't recognize either my lg g4 or my buddies note 5.
