2008 g37 Aux Cord Adapter for Samsung S6 Edge
2008 g37 Aux Cord Adapter for Samsung S6 Edge
Looking for an adapter or something so i can play music from my samsung galaxy. Tried a Auvio cable: https://www.radioshack.com/products/...ant=5717753989 and the sound was horrible. Whats a better one I can use?
i cant imagine its the cord (unless its defective) - a magical gold-plated oxgen-free expensive audiophile cable will probably sound the same.
if your phone is rooted, try the Viper4Android app to improve the sound.

I feel like this is one of those topics that comes up every so often and it always ends up with the same conclusion. If you don't have bluetooth and you have an Android phone your best bet is to just get a cheap ipod / usb drive, stick it in the center console and forget about it.
I have a 2012 with bluetooth but I only use that for podcasts. I got an ipod touch off of Craiglist so I can pop it in the console and control my music from the dash. Easy and much more legal than fiddling with your phone while driving. Don't be that guy.

In fact, I'm going to make a video in the DIY section this weekend. It's the best option and this is a very very common question.

i bought a used 32Gb iPhone 5C for cheap because it had a scratch on the lower part of the screen, which i don't care about, because it lives in the armrest.
Bluetooth adapter is also an option if you want to use your phone. i like just having a dedicated music player to free up my phone, but it will be the BEST sounding choice because you can use Viper4Android to REALLY make the factory system sound good.
I always see these posts every other week and I'll answer the same thing every time. I have an '08 and a Galaxy as well. Your BEST OPTION is to grab a Bluetooth receiver on Amazon/eBay, plug it into the RCA input and never touch it again. I bought this exact one and haven't touched it since I installed it. It connects on startup automatically, still works with steering wheel controls and the sound quality is perfect, no buzzing or muffled noise. I'm a huge stickler for quality and would tell you if it had issues. Do this, trust me.

So just curious, if there's an iPod/iPhone connected at all times, how do you change the song or see play lists? Use the big navigational ****? Is there a way to use an iPod touch and connect to hotspot and stream with it or does it just play from storage?
not sure about streaming with hotspot, never tried it.

Your able to skip songs with the steering wheel controls? I can only control the volume and I have the same one.

use a micro usb charger in the cablejive and attach that to the bliuetooth adapter, then attach both to the ipod interface cable in your car. Now you can stream music via bluetooth to your car, and use the steering wheel controls.

Go to a home theatre section of an electronic store and get the Red and Black RCA to Aux wire. Its exactly what i have in my 08 coupe. Just plug the two wires inside the arm rest and use the aux for my Galaxy S7 Edge.
