Music Streaming

Ive searched the forums to try to get an answer to my question w/ not much luck so sorry if this is a repeat post ill try to keep it short. As some of you know I recently purchased a used 2009 G37x w/ premium and nav. Unfortunately (or maybe not too unfortunately seeing how its old tech) my car didn't come with the cable for plugging into an ipod or iphone. Im trying to figure out how to DL my Iphone 6s to the car but w/ no success. Im thinking of buying an flash drive for it, is that your typical 4gb mini flash? Is there a way to bypass all of that and use the blutooth to stream music? Any suggestions? Thanks!

From what I understand for the 2009 you can buy an adapter to plug into the RCA (red, white, yellow) then into the headphone jack of your phone. There might be a bluetooth adapter that works in the same fashion, not sure though.

Its unfortunate it needs third party but I like how it has a USB. Where did you mount it?

On my 2011, my usb port kept shorting out so I just don't bother fixing it anymore. Spent 60 bucks on an FM radio transmitter and the sound quality is about the same as the usb connection. Well worth it and I recommend it for you too

I'll take a picture later and post it here. I put it on the area near the seat heater buttons, it's out of the way and the buttons are easily accessible.

This one is great though, the buttons let you skip songs or use the voice control on your phone easily.

Yeah the wood trim is awesome

You can control music from your phone, or from the button. Either way you want. You can set it up also to hold the button to open the voice command on your phone.

be sure to get an RCA adapter also:
Amazon.com: 2 x RCA Male, 1 x 3.5mm Stereo Female, Y-Cable 6-Inch: Electronics Amazon.com: 2 x RCA Male, 1 x 3.5mm Stereo Female, Y-Cable 6-Inch: Electronics

Oh, and one more thing. In some cars / configurations you will hear a static sound when nothing is playing. Mine sometimes did it so i picked up a ground loop isolator also, which eliminates that noise
Amazon.com: PAC SNI-1/3.5 3.5-mm Ground Loop Noise Isolator Works with iPod/Zune/iRiver and Others: Automotive Amazon.com: PAC SNI-1/3.5 3.5-mm Ground Loop Noise Isolator Works with iPod/Zune/iRiver and Others: Automotive

you might not need this though.

Currently i am using a RCA to 3.5mm and a 3.5mm to lightning for my phone but it’s not “clean” if i can say so, the charging cable and the audio cable laying on the seats waiting to be used, that’s why i wanted bluetooth...
