Ipod cable

I have a G37s from 11-2007 (model 2008) with the navigation and Bose package. When I bought the car there was no ipod cable so I bought one on eBay. That one didn't work so then I thought maybe I need the other one (there are two numbers 284H2-ZT50A and 284H2-1BA0B). That one also didn't work. I checked my VIN number I in the Infiniti parts base and that tells me I need the cable with number 284H2-1BA0B.
In the mean time I have 4 cables and a special bought ipod touch G4 but still no music firm external source.
Does somebody know how to solve this problem?

Does somebody know if the ipod option is a separate module or is the hardware integrated in the head unit?
And if it's a separate module, where is it located.
