I purchased a nuvi with voice command and lifetime map updates for $229.00. I also purchased a http://www.mountek.com/shop/gps-moun...reetpilot-gps/ n groove for the Garmin. It slides into the CD slot and there is a thumb screw to secure it. Works great!

Is there a way to view the map changes made in the 2015 edition? We've had a lot of major road construction (interstate completion) in the last year, and it would be pointless to buy this map update if those major changes aren't included. I seem to remember long ago that "Here" was in charge of our in-car maps, so maybe looking at their maps on their website will give a good indication of how current the data is?

Looks like they are running the $99.00 special for the 2016 map updates through the end of the end year (December 31, 2015).

I think its going to depend on what area you live in. Were there any recent changes made to local roads that aren't appearing in your current version of navigation?

I was told several years ago that the maps are about a year behind real life. So 2016 maps may contain late 2014/ early 2015 data.

Thank y'all for the info. Truth be told, the maps in my 2008 have never been updated, so we're looking at 2007 map data onboard. Obviously anything would be an improvement over that, but with our interstate loop finally being "completed" this past summer, I wanted to make sure that it included those road changes. By the sound of it, it might be best to wait until next year!

Yeah, I would wait if you want the recent changes included. I do an update every other year.

cd slot mount positions it too low for my liking. kinda dangerous to be looking down at the nav unit like that ....

I just noticed that too. But i have 08 G37 and only 2015 map is currently available for 08-09 g37 and cost 149.99... :banged:

I don't understand.. 2010 and up can get 2016 map but 08-09 is 2015 map only and cost more..
