How well do Android phones work with Infiniti

Just to start off, I hope I'm not in the wrong section but this is a pretty basic questions.

So I've always been an Apple guy, I've had the 3,4,5 and now 6 but for some odd reason I keep getting the urge to get a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Before I do so I was wondering how well they work with the Music Player ect? I dont want to use Bluetooth, I want to be able to plug in a USB and have it pull up my songs, playlists, ect right on the screen like it does with my iPhone. I would presume it would but I wanted to be certain before I got any closer to switching.

Can I vouch that the sgs6 and play music work great via bluetooth, so do all other features, however I never plug in so I have no experience with that. Honestly why not just use the bluetooth? I have a 2012 g37x sedan w/ navigation as well

Man this hurts lol, I love how easy it is to just connect and pick everything via the steering wheel controls. Bluetooth is alright but it usually kills my battery so thats why I just plug in and go. Any idea if it will at least charge thru the USB port?

I used to have the HTC One M8 and it worked flawlessly with Bluetooth audio compared to my iPhone 6+ which I have to connect manually every now and then.

my experience with the port is that it doesn't have enough juice to charge my LG G3. so i use a usb car power adapter to charge my phone when needed.

The USB port doesn't charge your 6+ very well?? It charges my 6 very reasonably. I guess I could sacrifice giving up the music control and just use bluetooth but I have a feeling I might end up switching back to Apple lol

Yeah for me it doesn't charge it all too good, maybe because of the bigger battery? Well for me personally, I can't go back to android, found it too clunky, un responsive at time, not so much pleasing to the eye, and the long wait for updates all killed it for me personally. I just prefer the apple ecosystem and haven't looked backed since I got my 6+.

You on the other hand may like it, it may be worth a try to see if you do. Could always try selling it back on craigslist and make most of your money back.

My .02 cents.

This was my exact feeling. IOS is just so easy to work around, I feel like everything is straight forward and organized. Especially my music and iTunes, I update songs multiple times a week so I would have to find a new platform to use for Android... Ugh if only the S6 Edge could run IOS I would be sold lmao. I might give it a shot and see how it goes, worse thing that could happen, like you said just throw it up for sale or I even found I could return it within 14 days so well see. Thanks for the help tho!

My iPhone 6+ has voice calls issues.

Calls don't drop but the bluetooth goes in and out.

My Android devices don't do this, just the iphone.

I have HTC M8 & it streams just fine. I have a dual USB device that plugs in 12volt behind shifter. One plug for me & one for passenger. Why would you want to fish out a cable from the USB port?

My radar uses the 12volt behind the shifter. I don't mind using the port I just wanted to make sure it would actually charge it
