I just picked these up and they arrived today. The 2015 Maps make a world of difference. The install takes just over 90 minutes.

Anyone else get them? Have you noticed any updates to the application? The first disk is an updated application suite, but I haven't seen anything specifically yet for the application itself.

Is it true you have to have the car running? And if so, could you update as you drive?

Yes, it's true that you need to have your car running (you can also use a battery trickle charger connected to your battery instead).

One the first disk (application updates) is loaded (you need to turn the car off and on 3 times) you can load each disk and after loading a disk, you can do whatever you want with the car (as far as turning it off or on). However, once you start the map update process, none of the navigation components are available until the completion of the last disk.

You can definitely load them while you drive. Another forum member mentioned that he loaded them on his commute to work. You just won't have the maps while you're loading.

Makes a world of difference by added streets, buildings etc?

Or is the entire format improved and updated?

Does it add the speed limits to all the streets and highways that don't show them?

Definitely a world of difference with added roads. Two of my roads that I commute on daily weren't in my original maps... That sucked during my commute.

As for your next 2 questions, I will let you know after my commute to work tomorrow. I'm hoping number 3 is true! That was awesome on my Garmin unit.

Yep, the speed limit MPH is very helpful. I can't tell you how many times I've been on stretches of road where there isn't a speed limit sign posted for miles.

I almost feel like it is a set-up or speed trap. Could vary from 50-75 MPH and you have no idea what the speed limit is for several miles.

So... bad news... my first real trip with it sinc. The update, and the routing seems t. Be suffering. That may just come with it being brand new. I'm not sure if the unit is able to "learn" driving habits. The route I take usually recalculates once with my Garmin, because I take a highway instead of the more direct route. This thing recalculated at EVERY street I drove by.

Also, speed limits aren't showed for all roads.

To people who got their orders, how quickly did they ship them out? It's been almost a week since my order, still haven't gotten a tracking number.

I ordered mine before the cutoff last Friday (I think it was 5:00pm CST), and I received mine Monday night. I did pay for 2 day shipping.

Which setting specifically, and what issue will it change?

Turns out my order was shipped the next day after I placed the order. However they never send me a tracking number, nor is the tracking info available on the order status page.

Instead I have to call and listen to the robot mumbling out a 20-digit tracking number, thank god there's a "if you want me to repeat that, press 1" option.

I waited about a week from order to delivery as well. I received no tracking number or communication from them, aside from the initial order confirmation. The package just appeared in my mailbox yesterday.

Day 2 with the maps, and overall I'm happy with the updates...

The speed limits still don't show on ALL roads, only highways.

The routing is... interesting... I'm not sure what the issue is there. Once it seems to get a route, it prefers to keep it, no matter what. I had a route set, and intentionally took a wrong turn (but a turn that I knew would still get me there). If I had stayed the way I was going, it would have added me about 2 miles to the total distance... The way that the route re-calculated added 6 MILES... Something seems broken..

Address searching and POIs appear to be more accurate and quicker to search.

The Nav says that it supports "learned" routes... Does anyone have experience with just how long it takes to learn those routes? I have a feeling my commute could be miserable if it never learns my route.
