I'm in the market for either a 2012/2013 G37 sedan journey. When speaking with the dealer, he stated all g37's come with touchscreens. If I'm not mistaken, isn't the nav package the only one equipped with the touchscreen?
I'm coming from a G35 coupe that a double din kit with touchscreen head unit and think I'll miss it too much in the G37.

 

I'm not sure, but I can guess that if it only had the backup camera, it would be the same screen as in the Nav package. The premium package gives you the camera as well as Bose sound system, and many other goodies.

I think you can technically order the premium package and not Nav but you maynot find many to choose from in that configuration perhaps. If you want to avoid the integrated touchscreen, you will probably need a stripped down model with no options, which is probably even harder to find.

Pay attention to the notes at the bottom of each package as the premium package is a prerequisite to all the other packages.

I didn't know that. Seems an odd thing to differentiate.

I believe the 6MT came with Premium/Nav by default since 2011. If I could have saved money by not getting the car with Nav/touchscreen, I surely would have. Kind of silly, for my purposes. Could care less about Nav, and the touchscreen smudges just by looking at it hard.
