Low subwoofer output

I wired my sub amp into the B41 connector 23-26. I'm not getting enough gain for my Kicker amp. I have the gain jacked almost all the way & only gets loud when the HU volume is 75% up. At lower volumes the bass appaers & dissapperas at random times.
I triple checked my wiring & nothing is loose. It could be my amp as it's old, but it worked in my previous car. I don't have another amp to test with.

Does anyone know what he voltage from the HU is? The Kicker amp has selectable RCA's for hi & low level. Doesn't matter which way the switch is set too. The amp is not loosing power either. I am not running a LOC.
The amp specs for input are
Low Level: 125mV–5V
High Level: 250mV–10V

Not sure what the exact output voltage is, but I do know that the bose supplies a pretty 'flat' low level output. I am currently connected to 23-26. Don't have the problem with bass dropping out. I will be redoing the system soon, and I think that I'm going to go with 16 and 17 to supply my sub signal. I've read a couple of other posts where people have used that output with success, one poster actually said it is better to use that because it is the actual 'sub out' so to speak from the bose HU. Not sure if it will make a difference, but it couldn't hurt to try it. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes.

I'm really hating how touchy this car is...Seems to work fine now all of a sudden. Bass volume is normal. Maybe it is my amp & it's heading out.

I don't think it's your amp. The same thing happens to me if I turn the volume up to high the bass will get lower. I would have to restart the car and it will work again. I also had the same problem before installing my sub woofer. i think it's the bose system shutting down to protect it self. I keep the volume pass half and it's great no problems
