Speed limit displayed on nav?

How do I make the speed limit appear on the nav screen like it does on my old Garmin? There is an option in settings to turn it on or off, but I have it switched on and it still does not appear anywhere on the screen. I recently did the nav update as well, so that's not it. Am I missing something?

I recently did a map update, and the speed limit icon seems to only appear while driving on the highway. I will pay closer attention to the display while doing some city driving and post back.

The speed limit icon only shows on the highway on my nav screen. It blinks when going over the limit so I turned it off from the annoyance.

X2 on that, me and the family was coming back from vacation and it was blinking on & off while I was driving over the posted speed limit.
