Subwoofer location

Hey guys,

I know this is a dumb question... but I'm going to ask it anyways

I'm in the process of buying a custom sub enclosure for my sedan and was wondering if it really matters whether the sub is on the driver side facing the passenger side or on the passenger side facing the driver side?

I don't think it will matter at all, just wondering if anyone has tried the two spots and saw better results one way or another.

I was thinking on the passenger side facing the driver side because I am on the driver side and maybe the bass will sound better over there, plus weight distribution by placing it on the passenger side.

Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated. Thanks!

every sub and every install are different.

usually the best set up is to run the sub closest to the rear of the trunk (near the bumper)

I have my sub installed just behind the rear seats.

if you can, move the sub around before you permanently install it.

you probably wouldn't notice any difference in sound whether you decide to put in driver side corner or passenger side corner.

The nice thing about bass is that you can't tell where it's coming from, especially in a car. Either side is fine.
