iPhone iPad Mirrod display in dash board
I just came across a video on youtube. Does anyone know if anything special needs to be done to be able to mirror the display to the car? I see an app in cydia called display out. I will try it tonight to see if it works.

I think your video could use some editing
I have a hard time understanding why someone buying a luxury sedan would not opt for factory navigation. I also carry my old Garmin and if going to an unknown location I use both as a passenger can input changes to the Garmin while moving whereas the factory Nav cannot.
I think what you are doing is creating distracted and unsafe driving.
Just my $.02

I purchased my previous 06 G35 without it because of the price. I was later sorry although the $79.00 Black Friday special Garmin worked well.
Traded in the 06 G35 with almost 172k miles and love my current 2012 G37S
My wife had a 09 Altima that she purchased without Nav because of the price.
She was later sorry. She now has a 2013 Altima with Nav, backup camera, and ground lighting and is happy with all.
In addition to the Navigation, you can also get Nav Traffic, Nav weather as well as a list of nearby restaurants, gas stations, shopping, and other places of interest while driving.
I usually purchase my vehicles outright with the expectation of keeping the vehicle for 10 years so the initial cost of options when averaged out doesn't seem so bad.
Life is too short to go without.
No wasting money on useless mods and regular 87 octane helps pay for the options.

Did this on my 07 -- much easier for the older models that had the RCA in. Backup Camera / PAC VCI wiring questions - G35Driver
For newer models you'll definitely need a module that taps into the screen and allow you to override with your own source (rgb/hdmi etc).

Waze and google pre-downloads the navigation route in case you lose service. I lose service often when i drive out of state but then navigation stays good, unless of course i need reception to look for directions
