Hi all.

Does anyone else ever have issues with the keyless entry system being unresponsive? I find that sometimes it works perfectly and other times I will need to push the door button over and over. Pressing the key fob buttons is also hit and miss. Also if I leave the key in my pocket, sometimes the 'no key' message comes up when sitting in the car.

Before anyone says 'change the battery', I have put new batteries in and it doesnt help.

I have installed multiple devices which run off of the accessories power and I wonder if it is simply the cars battery being a little old and drained. 2 dash cams, a GPS booster and my 'Android phone on the OEM touchscreen' system are all dragging power from the battery. Before I buy a new battery I want to check whether anyone else has had the issue.

Have you tried changing the batt ... just kidding!

Do you have a spare key to try on? I had those exact scenarios with one of my key but my issue was the fob battery...

 

Have two keys. Both the same.
Its very random. Sometimes come back to the car and it just wont unlock. Press the button on the door handle 5 or 6 times and eventually it works.
Its definitely the same effect as when the battery is going flat in the key but its not that so I'm confused....
