Ipad in dash G37XS

2012 Infiniti G37XS iPad mini install. We had to relocate the factory radio to accommodate an iPad mini in the radio location. We had to extend several ribbon cables and plugs to relocate the radio into the center console. We were also able to retain the factory CD changer behind the iPad.

Being so tech savvy as you must be to pull this off, one would think you'd also be able to master posting photos turned right way up.

Just kidding. Sort of.

Welcome to the forum.

When he says "we had to extend the cables" he might mean "the guy I paid had to extend the cables" lol. Welcome to the forum! That looks good, shame about the loss of the console space though!

My thoughts exactly. Looks like a very clean install, albeit being sideways.

neat idea. relocating the controls to the center console looks cool if not completely convenient.

Any pics of the center console or any vids of this install in action. I've always wanted a tablet in my car. I have a Nexus 7 and i just got a 2010 G37 coupe.

My setup would work well for non nav guys. Nexus 7 can be modded with a rear view cam. I don't have parking sensors to begin with. The info on my non nav screen is irrelevant to my daily use.

Its not for everyone.
