adding ipod interface

Hi, I have a 2010 sedan without NAV. Is it possible to wire in the iPod connect port to my headunit? I just have the rca's and its getting dangerous just to change tracks. Since my screen isn't touchscreen is it possible to select music through steering wheel/radio control dial...... pending that the above works.

I have a 2009 without NAV and it has the iPod wire right above the RCAs. Why wouldn't yours? I can change songs with my steering wheel controls. I thought this was standard equipment?

2008 here, no NAV, no touch screen and no iPod interface. Looking to add the interface as well.

from what ive found online, most dealers wont install the interface alone, they require the $3k tech package.(if you rbuying new of course). there was a guy who had a shop install just the interface, true interface, and was able to control the ipod through steering wheel control.

I have the same as you, but my interface will not work. It shows Ipod connected but no songs show up. Maybe the cord or Ipod? I have a 5th gen ipod video.

Decisions...decisions...

Should I invest in some form of interface to install on my non nav 2010? and hope it works..

or should i just yank the screen, remount it somewhere else(extend the harness), and slap an ipad mini in the hole i just made?

I would look into keeping it stock as possible. There has to be something thatll do the trick. Maybe call a stereo shop and pick their brains, and then go find it somewhere cheaper.

Maybe this? http://www.crutchfield.com/p_581PA15...7091705&awdv=c
