HELP! 2009 Ipod non-nav

Hey There!

I am brand new to this forum and a proud owner of a new (to me) 2009 G37 Journey Coupe. Ive been searching all day with no clear answer so...

I have a non-nav system with the Bose premium package along with the Ipod port. I bought a cable for it and have a 5th gen 80g Ipod Classic/Video. When connected, shows Ipod symbol but no albums, tracks, etc....I cannot control from the steering wheel.

Is this going to be possible? or, do I have other options. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks, Dave

If it has lightning connector you need to buy the apple brand 30-pin adapter and if you want it to charge you need to buy the cablejive dockstubz+. Even then it might not work. Mine did for a few months and it would only play music through my iphone speakers and not the car. Others have had success though.

No lightning connector...I think Im going to post some pictures if that helps. My concern is that, if I DONT have NAV then I cannot play Ipod through the integration.

YES!!! Thank you!!! I am new to my G and had no idea I was supposed to hit the disk button. Everything works now but my only complaint is not being able to select folders from the steering wheel (as I have no "enter" button). Other than that, I'm happy....

Thanks to all that chimed in.
