So guys I turned on my car the other day and my car's USB port wasn't working all of a sudden. When I scroll through CD/Bluetooth/etc, the USB section doesn't show up either. Is there a USB port fuse somewhere? Or is there a way to reset it?

 

This hasn't happened to anybody else?!

 

Man, I've never seen that happening. Do you usually see it without the usb plugged in? Like when you scroll through it, is there an option for usb? Try a new cord if you can. If that doesn't work I'd say pull the battery..

 

I tried a battery pull and new cords. I don't see the USB option when scrolling through at all...

 

What phone you using? I use to have this problem when I was using my EVO 4G, but ever since I switched to iPhone 5 I haven't repeated this issue.

 

I've been using an iPhone 5, been using it since I got the car. Do you guys think pulling my ECU would reset this?

 

Reviving a way old thread, but did you ever solve this? Mine has the same issue. Diagnostics shows everything is working.

I tried switching phones and cables. It only charges the cel but doesn't reconize songs. And the bluetooth only works to anwser calls ,not to play music

I don't know if it's the same problem, but I get "check USB cable or USB device." message somewhat frequently. This happened a lot more when I was using an iPod in my center console but I get it every now and then with the Vline installed. I'm wondering if the USB port on the head unit has bad solder or something that causes it to act up.

Are you getting the "Check USB Device" error message or is your port completely dead?
