Infiniti 2009 G37S Sedan Audio Overhaul help
Hello everyone! I bought my Infiniti G37S back in december.. and LOVE IT.. I am coming from a very much loved 350z.. I love that car.. had it for six years.. but I needed something bigger and something I wasn't going to kill myself driving :P
The G37 Bose system sounds very OK.. Nothing to really go crazy over.. Someone rear-ended the hell out of me a couple of weeks ago and my car is still in the shop.. however, I am driving a 2013 Ford Explorer.. The factory sound system in that thing.. is amazing..
I have been toying with the idea before to see what I could do to the G37 to make it sound better, now after hearing the system in the Ford Explorers.. I really want a to update.. I miss my 350z system.. It sounded like crap and I had intentions on replacing all the speakers.. I put a new HU in it and damn.. they didn't sound anything like the same speakers.. so I just kept them and added two 10s..
Moving on,
I want to replace all the speakers in the car, keeping the tweeters along with a sub.. I was thinking a L7 or something.. I read somewhere I need to start off getting a JL Cleansweep, but I don't know where I need to go from there.. Do I need speaker brackets? Harnesses? special cables? ect.. Do I need to keep the bose amp and just replace the speakers? replace the amp? ect ect. If someone could help me get started.. that would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks,
Chris

This is an incomplete answer to your question, but I think the speakers and amp will need to be thrown out together. I'm pretty sure Bose uses strange ohm loads like 2 (normal would be 6-8) which make their speakers incompatible with other amps and amps incompatible with out speakers.
