Bluetooth stops immediately after connecting (then reconnects 1 min later)

Bluetooth stops immediately after connecting (then reconnects 1 min later)
I've been having this issue since I got the car a few months ago. As soon as I start my car it will say "Connecting to Samsung Galaxy S" then a few seconds later "Connected to Samsung Galaxy S" followed immediately by "Samsung Galaxy S has stopped". It remains like this for anywhere from 45 seconds to 2 minutes, and then it will connect and start automatically playing music from a music app.
Does this occur for everyone, or is it just my phone. I am not running stock touchwiz on my phone, I have a CM10.1 based AOSP rom, so that may be the issue here. Any insight would be helpful, thanks!
