im wondering which wires to tap into for the sedan system to power an amp. i searched and only came up with coupe wiring diagrams and couldnt find that b43 connector. and i saw the b43 connector on a 08 g35 sedan is cd changer.

anybody have a wiring diagram for 2011 sedan with bose and navigation

do i tap into one of these plugs going into the bose amp

 

Can't really see the connectors but when i installed my amp/sub, i used the connector no. b41 - terminal no. 22 for the remote wire. Then i used terminals 23-26 to the rca cables.

i think if you use the B43 connector, the remote would would be no.3

How big is your new amp?

The wires going to that Bose dont look very hefty, most likely not enough to power a large aftermarket amp. A low voltage turn-on signal or high-side speaker inputs to the amp, sure, but definitely not +12V.

The right way for power is run a wire (8ga at least, depending on size of amp) from your amp(s) (presumably in the trunk) directly to the positive battery terminal, with a fuse holder in between (as close to the battery side as possible). Ground the amp(s) to some metal under the trunk lining, preferably an unpainted spot (or sand away the paint before making the connection)

 

sorry maybe i wasnt clear im just tryin to get the power for the LOC i got 4 awg power and ground wire setup already on the car

 

i was using that pdf and couldnt figure out which wire. i dont know if thats the coupe one might be different. i tried using a multimeter to all the pins on the 2 plugs going into the bose amp. i couldnt find a wire for remote turn on. that would give 12volts when cars on (not started up) and 0 volts when cars off. i found a couple that gave me 3.5v

i dont know if im looking at the wrong plugs do you have a sedan too?

thanks for that link everything matches now and i think im going to tap connector b41 bose amp 16 & 17 & 20 the amp on signal and signal woofer + and signal woofer -

It should work. Just wire it up and see if everything functions the way it should. I personally did what Xzeus did and went with 23-26 for the RCA wires in the B41 harness and sent those to a LOC for the remote turn on. The remote in the stock harness isnt strong enough to turn on some amps-in my case a Fosgate. What amp are you running? Some accept high level inputs and dont need a separate remote wire as they can turn on once a signal is detected (JL Audio 500/1). A few are super sensitive and can turn on with a low voltage remote signal (less than +12 Volts). This issue has been covered, and there is a wiring diagram with pics somewhere but I cant seem to find it. The reason why people use 23-26 is because it is a clean signal and hasnt been processed by the Bose amp. If you take the signal after the Bose amp it will be filtered out, and you will be missing certain frequencies. You definitely wont get that ultra low end bass that many G owners notice missing from the stock Bose stereo. BUT it will work. Try it out and let us know if it sounds good to YOUR ears.

 

the coupe wirings a lil different than the sedan. ill be running a clarion 1500w amp had it in my old TL bose system and worked fine. ill let you guys know how it works out tommorow

I finished my sub enclosure install last night. However, I ran into a problem. I used b41 harness. I used 22 for remote and 23,24,25,26 for RCA, however there was nothing but noise low bass coming from 25 & 26 (Y and Br wires). No music playing volume is null and once i plug that RCA (25,26) The issue happens, sounds like a helicopter with extremely low bass. I just used a y adapter for 23&24 (SB and V wires) and plugged it in the other female port. Has any encounter this before?
