REMOVING files from MUSIC BOX

Has anyone ever been able to remove files from the music box. My car is going back in a few months and was curious since theres obviously a hard drive somewhere in the car, wanted to remove all the cds i ripped in. I lost all my files the last G35 i traded in and if i get another maybe I can figure out how to get it on the next one, if there is a music box in the Q50. THanks

The music box was discontinued mid year 2012.
My vehicle does not have one so I doubt there will be one in the Q50

My 2013 G37xS sedan doesn't have it either...most likely they have discontinued the music box feature and just has the USB connection instead.
I asked about it at the time of purchase and dealer says it is no longer available.

If you want to delete them, just hit the menu button when listening. Option should be there to delete individual files.

No Music box on new Infinitis. USB or Ipod or iPhone.

Thats ashame, I kind of like the Music Box!

Although Im sure there are some legal issues involved......borrow a CD from a friend, pop it in and by default its recording a copy to my car.

I think the OP wants to save the music before he deletes it... It looks like he wants to remove the files to transfer elsewhere....

Yeah well...that was the problem. Think Napster...similar situation. It was a good idea that will not come back anytime soon...
