so i bought a cord to be able to listen to my music from a pos ipod i have (doesnt hold a long charge but i got it cheap)

the issue is that the cord doesnt charge my ipod and im wondering if its the 2008 G's or is it the cord?

 

There's tons of threads on this exact subject already if you look for them just a little. Basically, it depends on what ipod you have.

 

You need a dongle .... Apple changed it's charging pin outs a while back.
