Connecting 46 "Samsung LED TV Audio, DVD player of Philips Home Theater system?
I have recently purchased a 46 "Samsung LCD TV and Philips home theater system. the TV has a digital audio (optical) output and not the usual A / V outputs. the DVD player has not optical input but usual A / V inputs (red & white). could anyone suggest me how I hear my TV programs through the home theater speakers?

Are you 100% certain the TV doesn't have composite audio outputs? That would be very odd. It would also be odd that your receiver doesn't have composite audio inputs.
I bought a Samsung TV for the bedroom recently and it has them. Check again. And as was mentioned by the 2 previous guys, HDMI is a far better choice. Most any new AV component will have them. Use the HDMI connection as it carries sound and video at much higher resolution than any other type of connection. A cheap eBay HDMI cable will work as well as a $75 name brand one so don't waste money.
