Thumbs up Fixed! iPhone bluetooth issues

Not sure if anyone has posted this already. For those of you having Bluetooth issues with your iphone;

The issue is with the auto sync of the phones contacts. It syncs every time you turn on the car.

To fix the bluetooth connection issue, go into the iPhone settings.
Go to bluetooth.
Press the little arrow next to the my-car Bluetooth icon
Turn off sync contacts.

This should make your phone and bluetooth audio work perfect. My phone connects ASAP and I can play music over Bluetooth easy.

I hope this help others as this has been driving me crazy.

FYI
I have iphone 5 on iOS 6, but this issue was also on my iphone 4 and 4S

Do any of you get the issue of voice cutting out when having a convo via the car's bluetooth? I constantly have my voice or the person I'm talking to's voice cut out. Would this setting help in any way with that?

I think the bluetooth/music is my favorite feature of the car.

The only issue I ever have is that I'll get a message saying my phone doesn't support changing tracks from the steering wheel control. I fix it with turning on airplone mode then turning it off to resync the phone and all is well.

Maybe I missed it did anyone with a older model get the compatibility with the new iPhone 5 lighting port with the adapter?

I just bought an '09 with Nav, and I have an iPhone 5. The Apple lightning adapter allows me to play and control my iPhone through the steering wheel, but it doesn't charge. It also doesn't charge my iPod nano (the square one). I'm looking for a fix for that issue, but other than the lack of charge, the functionality seems to be perfect.

To the original topic, I haven't been able to sync any contacts via bluetooth, but the phone will make and answer calls. I'll have to try this fix (don't know if it works with the 5).
