Apple announced last month the idea of "eyes free" where 6 automakers (not Infiniti) would integrate their handsfree system with Siri. Apple showed a screenshot of car's steering wheel with a "talk" button. Apple - iOS 6 Preview - Siri (scroll to the bottom)

Guess what?! Infinitis already have this button! Unfortunately, we're tied into Infiniti's clunky voice activation system rather than the infinitely more useful Siri.

How do we go about "bothering" Infiniti for an update on future and existing (+2008?) car models and update our steering wheel buttons to work with Siri?

That would be nice. FYI on my iPhone 5 If I hold down the home button while connected to the car via Bluetooth I can use Siri. Worked nicely. Dictated a few text messages

 

I'd be okay with android 4.1 Google Voice like on the S3. :-)
