New Owner. iPhone Connection DOESN'T Charge my Phone

new 2009 G37 Owner. Love it and putting on ASLuminum Pedals TODAY!

Anyway, I had a cable already in my armrest compartment, and thought it charged the car while I was driving.

I FINALLY PLUGGED in in and it said, this cable doesn not allow charging?

Is that because I have the wrong TYPE of cable to accomplish this?

Thanks

Bandit.......................

You need to buy an adaptor. I have the cablejive stub adaptor and it works perfect. Charges and plays just like you'd expect. It's like $20 in amazon.

A lot of older interfaces for the iPod/iPhone do not allow charging, an adaptor like the one I mentioned remedies that.

What's going to suck is when the next iPhone comes out with the smaller plug, and all of this becomes obsolete, or requires yet another adapter
