I'm wondering if one set of DVDs would work on multiple G37s.

This is why I love this forum!!

Yup, I ordered the DVDs too. Looks like someone needs to reverse engineer the cd key system.

I can't bring myself to pay $200 for just 1 year especially since it already has trouble with established streets and neighborhoods.

It's also a firmware update for the nav unit. Nav is clearly faster, can't tell much about the guidance yet.

I'm upstairs now, but the letter starts with "u", which is all I can remember. I'll post tomorrow.

Just got my DVDs today. I only had time to update the firmware. Some info for others who might be interested.

The new firmware version is X1UA2001. This is a completely new firmware. Even if you had the latest bluetooth TSB done, this firmware is newer. I only played with it for a few seconds but I noticed that the interface is indeed faster and smoother. And the navigation voice has been changed. Instead of two different voices, now it's one consistent voice.

If you just want the firmware update, it does not require a CD key and can be shared. You can PM me if you're interested in the firmware update.

I guess the 2012 uses the X3 firmware and 2010 uses the X1. On the firmware DVD, there are two folders: X1 and X3.

So that means, there are two different firmwares available depending on what model you have.

Did that already come with your car or is that after the update?
