How to search a compact flash card

Can a compact flash card be searched for title or artist?

I see it can be done for the (useless) Music Box, but I don't see in the manual anything about this feature for CF.

Is there a BEST way of organizing in iTunes the playlist for convenient usage when the limited 512 songs are copied to the CF?

Right now I have them in alphabetical order, but that has limitations. Different folders? or would that be limited by playing only one folder at a time without user input? IOW, could tracks be played randomly across folders if I desired?

any help/advice appreciated

John

I tried adding more than one folder to the CF card, and it will accept them, and you can switch between the folders--I just added one so I don't know if there is a limit.
Deal is, though, that no matter how you divide it up there is a 512 limit on the number of files.

Why oh why does Infiniti cripple this audio system?

Oh, I did find one thing redeeming. The slot accepts CF 1 and CF 2 cards, so you can use an SD card in a CF adapter.

Sadly, the interface blows for the CF/USB interfaces... for wheel/touchscreen control, the iPod's interface is the only one that is marginally usable. About my only major gripe with it is that the scrolling doesn't loop, so I can't scroll up from A -> Z, or down from Z -> A.

I'm no fan of Apple, especially considering a 64GB iPod Touch is $400, and you can find decent 64GB thumbdrives for $40. The iPod Classic isn't a great option, since temperature changes (especially in the winter) can wreak havoc on its micro-hdd.

But sadly, I'd rather eat the extra $360 than deal with the inadequacies of the interface. Sometimes, you have to wonder if they put so much effort into the flow of the vehicle, that they completely overlook such a major interface that is kludged together at BEST!

Agree 100%

It's like they harvested the best and the brightest from Europe for all of the car, except the audio interface--there they took in the Yugo computer scientists, and the DOT for the Nav.
Frustrating
