2008 AUX port

Does it not have a standard 1 plug AUX port or do I have to buy an AUX to RCA converter? I tried looking around but couldn't find the aux port. Also mine was used and it didn't come with an iPod plug. Anyone recommend somewhere I can get one cheap?

Inside the armrest, you have the standard yellow(video), red(audio right), and white(audio left) RCA connectors, plus the iPod connector. Try eBay for the iPod cable. If the device you are trying to connect doesn't have RCA connectors, then you will have to find some sort of adapter.

If you're talking about a 3.5mm stereo jack then no, the G37 doesn't have that. You can get a RCA to iPod cable at wal mart though. But te best bet is like te last reply and check eBay for an iPod integration cable.

RCA to 3.5mm cable is pretty cheap, and it should work for most of the audio devices.

But if you have an iPod, get the factory iPod connector. Then you can play/charge/control it through the wheel all at the same time.

Ebay sells those

Why would you do that? Get the iPod integration cable, that way your phone will fully integrate with your AV system. With the RCA you have to fumble your phone if you want to change songs, but with the cable you can do so with the nav screen or steering controls.

yeah you want the ipod integration cable... theres nothing like controlling your ipod/iphone via steering wheel controls. i actually use both though... have a bluetooth receiver hooked up to the RCA connectors and my ipod connected to ipod connector. best of both worlds.

I wish that the iPod integration allowed for quick scrolling through songs/artists. It is such a pain if a song I want to listen to starts with a Z

you should break up your playlist into smaller parts... maybe 2 or 3 playlists.. instead of 1.... so that you dont have to scroll so much.

The 3.5mm port is more useful in general, I think that's why he wants it. I used to use the iPod jack all the time until I got rid of my iPhone, so now it's pretty much useless to me. I do still have my iPod nano but I hate keeping my songs in sync between my phone and iPod, so I just use my phone now.

I think it would be nice if Infiniti made a universal cable that attaches to your phone and interfaces with your music library via a proprietary music player they develop. I wouldn't even mind paying for the app too.

does this cable support USB iphone charging?

my 2008 g37 doesn't charge since apple dropped firewire charging support from their devices.
