Outside Temp Display 2011 w/ Nav

Hi all. Is it possible to have the outside temperature to display on the nav screen without having to go to INFO - WEATHER - CURRENT FORECAST? I know the older G's do this. I've gone through all the settings and can't seem to figure this out.

You can see the temp in front of you at the display between the speedo and tach

I don't believe that temperature reading is correct. Where ever the reading is being taken is usually 10-20 degrees hotter than it is outside. For example... in texas it was 110 degrees and my cars "outside temp" read 131 degrees before it error'd out with "---" (i assume 131 is the highest it will go). Other times it reads in the 110-120 range when its only 90 outside. This is with easy driving on the car as well. So either my temp guage is either completely messed up or the placement of the temp reader is terrible. If yours is the same as mine, i would advise not using this as an accurate reading.

On my car the LED temperature reading is usually accurate. I often check it with what the TV or radio says in my neighborhood, and it checks out within 2 degrees. The only time it will be off is after I wash my car, probably caused by the sensor getting wet behind the grill; and a delay when I transition from a cooler garage to a hotter outside where it then takes a few minutes to catch up.

But if your readings are consistently off by 10-20 degrees then I would suggest a trip to the dealer to find the problem.

sometimes in direct sun it will read higher, but any thermometer will do this.
Mine has been correct even in these hot days you have been seeing in TX as well. What difference does a couple degrees make, we all know its too d@mn hot

After driving for about 5 minutes it should drop and become accurate. It reads higher when sitting directly in sunlight. Same reason why the inside of your car is hotter than it is outside when you first get in.

I think the INFO WEATHER CURRENT FORECAST is purely for XM Nav Weather.

My temp thing on my 2011 G is definitely off. It's hot in Atlanta, but we've been between 90 and 95 all summer and my car constantly reads between 101-106 and actually goes up after some driving.

Likewise, like i stated prior, i've gotten litterally to 131+ degrees and my temp reading actually error'ed out. This was while i was driving. I took a picture i'll upload it when i get home.

Maybe I'm overlooking it but can someone post a picture of the temperature display in their car (2011)? Thanks.

Same here. I just got my G a week ago and the temperature reading at 120+ freaked me out.

Not sure how accurate it was, that was driving home from VA to CT during the week that the whole east coast was hit with brutal heat.

It hit 111 somewhere in NJ, and that was at speed (70 mph) so its not like we were just sitting in traffic. Im sure its affected at least a little by the sun but I doubt it was more than a few degrees off.

It's been so hot this summer my reading says:
"Are you on the surface of the sun?"
