The car is only like 50-100ft away, but I have to walk all the way down to security to exit the building and then all the way back. So it takes a long time even though the car is right outside the window.

I seen this before installed at few nissan dealerships. It really does works with the factory keyfobs, but of course the remote start unit is aftermarket.

I'm just curious what EXACTLY you are installing into the factory fob's? I call BS on this. There is no need to touch the factory fob as a remote start can be connected to the double pulse lock. When you press the lock button twice, the car will either turn on/off.

i know I'm new to this forum but i had to give my two cents...im an aftermarket alarm and remote start installer at a new car dealership and I'm shocked at what people would charge for this considering its a basic aftermarket remote start system.....aftermarket remote start systems have an activation input wire so all you have to do is send it a pulse from the factory remote to make it start pretty simple and basic installation...ive done about 300 cars with the same set up
