Best Radar Detector????

Gentlemen. I just sold my Escort Passport X50 Blue over the weekend and now i need a new radar detector. What's your opinion on the BEST radar detector on the market? Valentine One? Beltronics STI? Escort Redline? I'm open to all of your opinions. Also, i would like to know what you think about mounting a radar detector to the rear view mirror. Does it rattle when driving? Does it lose accuracy? Thanks in advance....

I have the beltronics and I absolutely love it. And if you're trying to mount it to the mirror get a blendmount, it's the best there is

Undetectable by RDD, which is a god send here in Virginia

Have had the V1 for a bunch of years and love it... their OEM mount is quite good... add a stealth cord and you are good to go!

If you'll be in VA, BEL is the way to go. Otherwise, I like my 9500ix b/c the GPS really helps weed out false alarms and it's also pretty nice for knowing where speed/red light cameras are. It is pretty sensitive I feel, but if all you do is highway then redline is prolly best for that

Thanks guys. Please keep the opinions and comments coming. I'm listening. By the way, i live in Ohio and mostly travel in Pa, NJ, and NY. I'm not really too worried about being detected by the police. I travel a lot on the highways but i also city drive as well too. In Ohio the State Troopers have moving radar where they can get you while driving behind you or from the other side of road/highway while coming towards you. When they sit in the U-turns they like to use laser. In Pennsylvania the only police that have radars are State Troopers but they have to be stationary. Thanks again!!!! Please keep the opinions coming!

If you encounter laser you are dead meat without laser shifting.

So it's still undetectable? I'm thinking about picking one up, but one of the reviews on Amazon said that a cop had detected it, so I'm cautious.

Both the V and the 9500XI are worth while. I personally have the 9500XI; it's paid for itself time and again. The reason I went with the 9500 over the V? The V looked dated; it's ugly. Performance wise however, I think I'm a little particular towards the V. It seems to have better range. It might be worthwhile to get the V since you travel mostly freeways. But just from a personal bases, I travel 95% freeway (my 2010 G has 25,000 miles) and the 9500XI is just fine. It does a nice job of picking up State Patrol BEHIND me as well -- ie those that hide on on ramps while traffic passes by under. Good luck! Win-win either way you go honestly
