Hi guys. I upgraded from a G35 to a G37 3 days ago. I am now a happy owner of a 2008 G37 S Coupe. I have searched a little bit on here but am still confused about 2 things...

1) When I connect my iPhone 4 to the bluetooth, how do I transfer my phone book to the car? There is no option on my phone to do so.

2) I noticed in the center console there is an ipod hook up with the 3 holes. Unfortunately my car didn't come with the connector and I need to know where to buy it. I have an iPhone 4.

There is no website you can buy the cord off of?

 

The dealership I bought mine G from said the cord could be ordered off of radio shack's website. The sales manager said that he bought one for me but they are back ordered right now. He also told me that Infiniti doesn't sell the adapter anymore

 

it is impossible to transfer any part of the phone book from an iphone 4 to the infiniti. I've talked to customer service about this on the phone already so let it go.

and never buy this part from an infiniti dealership. You'll pay $60 for it.

Sunny, so what is the best replacement for the OEM piece? I just bought my 09XS a few weeks ago and the car didnt come with a cable.

 

what do you mean what is the best replacement? Sorry for the late reply, was out of the country on business the last 2 weeks.

 

No worries. I'm wondering if we are not to purchase the OEM cable then what should we get? Is there an aftermarket replacement product?

Is this specific to older models? I have an iPhone 4 and just the other night I selectively copied some phone contacts over to the car without any issue. I only copied like 4 people, but it worked great.

 

My whole phonebook copied over when I first synced my phone. The option is on the CAR, not the phone.

 

FYI, I don't think the original post was referring to the ipod/iphone cable. He mentioned the 3 holes which are for the aux input. That is different than the infiniti cable that is rectangular and syncs your music. Also, you might need an adapter to charge the phone. You can pick up a scosche ipod usb adapter on ebay or amazon for like $20. The 3 holes in the center console allow video and audio to play through the screen. You can buy a video out cable for your iphone through apple, electronics stores like best buy, or online. Just make sure the video out cable plugs into the bottom of the phone and is not the cheap version that plugs into the headphone jack. Those variations dont pla any video on the screen.
