2010 G37 Radios

Anybody know if CF slot (middle picture) is still available for 2010?
Notice the different spacing b/w the CD slot and the control buttons? Wondering two different ones are available for 2010, or the one you see in the photo is the only thing for this year.

I am trying to find out because I work for a dash kit company and trying to minimize the extra pieces if we don't need.

This is how it is right now.
if the 2007 radio doesn't apply to the 2010 year, we'll remove that piece.
and if the CF slot is not available for 2010, we'll not cut the hole there.

Thanks Guys!!!!

compact flash was removed from ALL 2010 models.

the only models to have the CF drive are 2007-2009 WITH navigation. so technically you still need to make a piece for the CF incase you have any customers that are 07-09 with navigation........unless you want to sell strictly or people without the slot

edit: based on your schema i think you're just trying to target 2010+ models......so to repeat myself.....you only need to make 1 piece

Thanks. Do you know if it's same for Coupe models?

Oh, we still have the previous year kits.
Now if anyone can confirm that piece 2589-14 is not needed (with small spacing), we can remove that as well.

I have this kit and it sucks. IMO delete the upper vent pieces and make a single piece for the door. Those chrome slivers for the bottom of the door section are so awful my dealer directed the installer not to install it. This left a gap at the bottom, also unacceptable.

This is a dangerous way to determine the specs of your products. Human eyes will not be able to tell the difference of, say, 1/16 of an inch, let alone judging by pictures. If this is how your company design the products, I would not want to buy. No wonder there is fitting/finishing problem as posted above.

Do yourself and your company a big favor by renting a 2010 G37 from Hertz for a day and get the actual spec.

The differences between two spacings are significant. Official website, dealers are not the best resources sometimes. Often websites are outdated/wrong (Jeep.com showing incorrect interior pictures for 2010 models, VW.com showing the old Jetta interior picture for the Jetta Wagon with new the Interior)

We've studied a 2010 G37 interior for the 2010 kit.
We are trying to reduce the parts that no longer required for the 2010 kit to save cost for customers. Leaving it in won't do any harm for the company.

We get the best feedback from the enthusiasts. A lot of them know their cars inside out.
Most dealers don't have the answers or give us wrong info because they don't want to deal with it.

The CF slot question rose from one of our installers. We never go by one installer's suggestion. He/she could be mistaken. Always need to be confirmed and that's why I am asking here, to actual owners of the G37.

We didn't personally see the radio part 2589-14 at dealerships. This doesn't mean it is no longer offered. The dealership might not have it in stock.

Two members and our installer confirmed about the CF slot and we will make the change for better appearance.

Without customer feedback, we don't know if there's any problem with the products. There are about 2,000 kits available from Sherwood today and they are constantly being revised for better fit. And new kits for brand new cars are being released every few days.

Can you be little more specific about the vents? Are they 2589-05, 2589-06?
I don't like them either. But some people do. They are small parts, so removing them wouldn't change much to the pricing. I suggest not to installed them if you don't like to.

Have you seen that long chrome parts in person or dealership told you they just didn't like them? Were they domed with polyurethane like the rest of them?
I don't know why they wouldn't give you the option, after all, it's your car.
Hope they saved the pieces for you.
I appreciate your opinions! Thank you.
