iPod Shuffle

When I drive the G I use my iPod Nano 5th generation and have to use the adapter to allow the iPod to charge with the Infiniti iPod cable. My wife uses my old Nano 1st generation which charges OK. The battery is shot on that iPod and it has to be reset every time you try to use it and it's just become a PIA.

Now to my question, is anyone using the newest shuffle (3rd generation) with their G and does it require the adapter to charge?

I am under the impression that the shuffles charges by a USB cable? I think you could plug the ipod into a usb car charger, and plug the output into the aux input. Of course you won't get the controls or song information on screen, but i'm sure you knew that.

yeah, looking for the full controls. A new 8gig Nano isn't that much more than a 4gig shuffle. Was just curious if anyone was using one.
